This is my 17-year-old daughter, Melia. Melia has been dealing with medical issues since the age of two. Over the past couple of years, she started having more issues with her stomach. Melia had to have her gallbladder removed at the age of 13. She hasn't been able to eat or drink much and has lost a lot of weight. She has had numerous tests done, such as X-rays, ultrasounds, lab tests, and MRIs, and tried so many different medications, but nothing has worked. To backtrack, she was hospitalized with pancreatitis a few days after having her gallbladder removed. We are now seeing the third doctor here in SC that we have been referred to, and no one has an answer. She experiences severe stomach pain, headaches, migraines, and nausea almost every single day. Melia has always been an A-plus student since her first day of preschool. She pushes herself daily to be the best. I have proof if needed for every single thing about my wonderful young woman. She is going to pursue a career in the medical profession after high school to help others because this is what she loves to do. I have reached out to John Hopkins Hospital as well as Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio, and they have a great treatment program that could possibly help Melia. This would incur a big out-of-pocket expense for me, so this is why I’m asking for your help. I want to thank you in advance. Blessings!
