Help me save Arabelle's life

Beschermde donatie
This is my good friend Arabelle. She has spent almost every weekend with me for the last 6 years. My name is Ann and my husband David and I watch her and other dogs at our home.
Last friday, her mom brought her like usual but she was extremely upset. She had come from the vet where they had done Labs that show she has end stage renal disease. The doctor was cold and suggested that they put her down right then and there.
I had a real problem with that diagnosis because I was a registered nurse. I have cared for dogs from the time they were diagnosed with it up until the end and I know the signs and symptoms.
If Arabelle was in end stage renal failure, she would have had to have been carried from the car because she wouldn't be walking. She also wouldn't be eating and Arabelle doesn't like to miss a meal. She would have excessive thirst , gulping water and vomiting. Arabelle was playing with her friends in the yard while we were talking.
I asked Raquel if I could take her to my vet for a second opinion.
When I made the appointment they suggested I fax the labs that had been done for the doctor to look at when he came in.
Saturday morning, Arabelle walked into the vets office like a Rockstar. That's her personality. She went around and said hello to everyone and wagged her tail.
The doctor took one look at her and said this is not a dog with end-stage renal failure so he ran the labs again thinking there was some error.
To our dismay, the labs came back just as bad and he confirmed that she probably had severe kidney damage at that point that she wouldn't recover from.
He also said he had never seen anything like it. The labs he was looking at should not belong to the dog he was looking at.
We had two options. We could take her home and wait till she gets sick and has to be euthanized.
Our other option was to take her to the emergency animal clinic and have them start IV fluids to flush out her kidneys. He said there was no guarantee it would work because he didn't know what was causing her kidneys to fail.
I asked him if it was his dog would he do that and he said absolutely. He said there was hope for her depending on what was causing it and they can also do more tests.
The Blue Pearl Animal Emergency Clinic in Overland Park Kansas was recommended because they have an internal medicine specialist  and that could give Arabelle an advantage. They estimated the cost would be around $5,000. There are a lot of people out there that could not afford that and Mom said this couldn't have happened at a worse time for her financially.
I don't really have that kind of money either but I am blessed to have credit cards with no balance on them ! So the plan was I would admit her and take my plastic. I reached out to my customers on Facebook and was overwhelmed with their words of comfort and offers to donate.
I'm praying for a miracle for Arabelle but even if she can't be cured, she will have anywhere from 2 to 6 months more of quality life. I know that her mother and all of us will cherish the extra time we get to spend with her. Please help get us there.
