Help Me Restore a Timeless Maritime Treasure

Hi, my name is Gary Demers, and I'm asking for your help to keep this 1929 Fleetwing Forty afloat. Only a few '20s era cruisers have survived the years as intact as this one. This antique yacht has already been about 75 percent restored by its previous owner, who passed away before he was able to complete this precious mission to keep history alive. From the moment I set eyes on this rare beauty, I've felt a calling to restore the boat to her former glory so that future generations have the opportunity to experience this little slice of luxury.

My plan is to transport the boat from the mainland to my home on Martha's Vineyard, where I've earned an honest living as a woodcarver and craftsman for many years. Over the next year or so, I'll finish the interior--the wiring, plumbing, woodwork, etc.--to complete the job the former owner started. Once finished, I'll make the boat available to island residents and visitors alike for sunset cruises, educational tours, and special occasions.

My decades of experience as a self-employed woodworker, artist, tinkerer, and lover of antiquities make me uniquely qualified to bring this boat back to life. However, I'm looking for the financial support of a few kindred spirits to get this project off the docks.
