Help Me Fund My Summer Service Trip to Armenia

My name is Cynthia Ghannoum, and I am a college freshman at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. This summer, I’m ecstatic to join others on a 3-week long service trip to Armenia. What motivates me about this program is its two-fold mission: To connect diaspora Armenians culturally and spiritually, to their motherland, and serve others within the Armenian community. Some of the things we will be doing include helping to build houses in rural communities, volunteering at a children’s summer camp, visiting religious and historic sites, and learning cultural traditions. Through this experience, I am confident that my cultural and spiritual connection will strengthen, as I have never been to Armenia before. I have longed to visit, as it is where my maternal ancestors are from. The Armenian Service Program (ASP) will be an experience I will cherish as it will be a time of learning, connecting, and experiencing the world around me through a different lens.
