My name is Mary Kirk, and for years I’ve proudly served the Camden, NJ community—cutting hair and creating a welcoming, safe space for everyone who walks through the doors of my barbershop, What’s Her Name’s Place, located on North 7th Street.

Everything changed in 2024 when a severe snowstorm hit, causing major damage to the shop’s electrical wiring. When I reached out to PSE&G for help, I was told that as the owner, the responsibility for repairs fell on me. My daughters and I searched tirelessly for grants and small business assistance programs, but unfortunately, we haven’t been able to secure the support we need.

Now, we’re asking for your help to bring What’s Her Name’s Place back to life. Every donation—no matter the size—will bring us one step closer to reopening our doors and continuing to serve our beloved community.
