Mary Jenkins has spent the majority of her life giving to others before giving to herself. As a widow she raised her children. When battling cancer herself she founded a nonprofit and helped other cancer patients in need being there for them when it mattered most. Her generosity, compassion, and unwavering support has touched countless lives across the country. Mary always shows up (even when she was in heart failure wearing a monitor), she pours out her heart, and gives without hesitation, never asking for anything in return.

Now, Mary is facing her own health journey - her "Denture Chronicles". After bravely fighting cancer twice, she developed infection in her top and bottom gums that required total extraction and debridement - all the result of aggressive chemotherapy treatment. One of the many things people don’t realize about cancer is how much it can take away, and for Mary, her smile was one of those things that she is known for.

Knowing how much she misses her smile this fundraiser is my way of calling on those who care about her to help make restoring her smile a reality for her. This is our chance to give back to someone we know has given so much to others.

On December 25th, Mary turns 58 years old. If you've been touched by her kindness and/or are moved by her compassion please to join me in making her birthday this year the best one yet. She may not admit it but she needs us now more than ever. Let’s rally behind Mary, show her how much she’s loved, and help her get her smile back.
