For the past two years, Maria has been bravely battling serious complications from an infection, all while managing chronic conditions like lupus, nephritis, and fibromyalgia.

Recently, her situation took a critical turn. The infection has spread to her bloodstream, leaving her septic and dealing with dangerous blood clots.
