Help Maria with Housing & Her Dream

This is Maria. She was my favorite customer when I worked at Berkeley Bowl West, a large grocery store in California. She’s got the heaviest Queens accent you ever heard and has worked construction jobs most of her life. She’s an incredible spirit who puts outsize amounts of love and kindness into the world.

As of 5 years ago, her body gave out, her partner left her & she’s been trusting God in Her infinite wisdom, who now is coming up silent. I found out after moving back to New York that she’s currently living out of her truck and is trying to find a place to cook, rest and go to the bathroom. Her larger goals are living out of a small school bus and spreading love and the hopes of a more humane society to the world. Can we find anyone in the East Bay who can help, either with putting her up in the interim or towards the schoolbus dream?

In her words, "money is just that... a currency (as in a current...) and obviously helpful!!!", so the funds themselves are simply a nice way to make sure Maria can be as comfortable as possible while she endures hard times (without a single complaint, which I find incredible). If this gets traction, I'll raise the goal and we'll try and shoot for the school bus.
