Help Manny Medical Expenses

The night of August 19th 2021 Manuel suffered a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital and he lost a lot of oxygen to the brain. Thankfully he was not home alone, as he surely would not have survived the attack, he was living with his sister at the time. Doctors are still working on the diagnosis, but it was definitely a cardiac arrest, but as of now is still declared as “unknown,” to what caused this to happen. Manuel had to get intubated, and sedated for a two and a half week period. He will be needing a nursing facility and a speech therapist as his speech and body coordination has been severely affected. His Insurance doesn’t cover the facility costs because due to his age, as most of the facilities and or boarding homes only accept seniors. He doesn’t qualify for an independent facility because he can’t be alone requires supervision. He is still under medical care and has strict doctor orders, for example he cannot drink and eat at the same time as it could cause further damage than what he already has. He also experiences random seizures which he take medication regularly.

Hello, I am Manuel’s sister Noga, my brother is 30 years old, works a full-time job and has a girlfriend that he absolutely adores. He had just recently moved to San Diego in order help me out during these hard times. My brother has always been a very generous individual and has always enjoyed helping others. He often participates in activities with local churches including a mission trip to Costa Rica. There he spent his time assisting the restoration of outdoor eating and living areas for the local orphanages. During his leisure time he would provide entertainment to the children by singing and playing his guitar. (Some of the photos provided are of him while he was in Costa Rica.) He did not rest easy until he was sure that everyone else was happy and safe around him, because that is the type of person he is. He provided clean clothes and something to eat daily to a homeless disabled man who lived near our family’s home. He would do this, because helping another that was less fortunate than himself gave him a sense of gratification. We are truly blessed to have Manny still with us. This is the second time my mother had almost lost her baby boy as he was diagnosed with meningitis at the age of 2 and managed to survive by the grace of our lord. This is the second time Jesus has stepped in to save my brother, and I believe he has a purpose for Manny to be here as so many others are not so fortunate. Despite the long and tough road my brother has in front of him, he is in Jesus’s hands, he will prevail, and as he heals from this tragedy, he will be able to reach and continue helping others.
