Help Mama fight Stage IV cancer

To our dear family and friends and community,

 

Her name is Linda. I am one of her four children. My brother’s (Scott, Tim & Andy) and I (Sarah) are campaigning to help our Mama alleviate the financial obligations of maintaining her household while she learns about and battles Stage-4 Cancer through radiation and immunotherapy treatments.

 

She has the spirit of a champion.

Mom, Linda Ann Hatch-Lester, was recently diagnosed with the ugly “C” and it has spread throughout various organs in her body including her brain, bone and has wrapped itself around her sciatica at the base of her spine into a plum sized mass. This has made it near impossible for her to move unassisted, and as such, unable to work. Her cancer causes debilitating pain, fatigue, and weight loss to her already slight frame.

 

 

 

Every laugh is her gift to us.

Each day mom battles the pain with the help of continuous prayers sent from all over.

She tries to sing Willie Nelson (this is one of her favorite songs) loud and often.

Mom has spent much of her working life committed to her community cooking for seniors in Grand Rapids at the Senior center, in the social work field at Touchstone and for the past 20+ years as an independent massage therapist.

 

We have set up this page to help cover all costs associated with fighting this awful disease and they will go directly to medical, pharmaceutical, insurance and all living expenses. We also want to thank you for the beautiful support you have extended through your continued prayers, meals, greeting cards, donations, visits, ect. Mom is so touched by every single one of you. Love is such a powerful tool.
