Help Malaka's Family Escape War-Torn Gaza
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Malaka, and I am a Palestinian living in Gaza. I have a beautiful family of four. I am married to my husband Moammar, and have two wonderful children. My son's name is Yuman, and he is 8 years old. My daughter is Yumna, and she is 3 years old.
Before the war, my family and I lived a very happy and peaceful life. I was a stay at home mom who cared for our home, and our children. Yuman was in school, and Yumna stayed at home with me since she is still too young for school. My husband had an electrical company before the war, and helped build our beautiful home that is now destroyed due to one of the many airstrikes constantly bombarding our city. Since the beginning of the war, we have also lost work, and all sources of money.
Moammar and I wish for our children to live happy, peaceful lives, but we can only do that if we evacuate. Yumna will be school aged soon, and Yuman needs to be enrolled in school again so he can continue to get his education.
We are desperate to get our children out of Gaza and start rebuilding our lives as soon as we can. We are asking you to donate any amount you can, so that we can evacuate to Cairo, Egypt as soon as the Rafah border reopens. Until the Rafah border opens, we need money to buy food for our children. They need meat and vegetables, to help prevent any possible developmental delays or malnutrition side effects. Our children should be growing, but get smaller and smaller due to a lack of food. The price of food and other goods has tripled. When it can be found, meat has gone up to 50$ for a kilo of meat.
We only wish to ease our suffering, and get out of Gaza as quickly as we can. Every little bit helps us get our children to safety, and ensure their childhood can once again be peaceful and happy.

1. Personal Expenses: As we are currently without jobs, we are struggling to meet our daily personal expenses.
2. Clothing and Bedding: Having left everything behind during forced displacement, we urgently need funds to purchase clothing and bedding.
3. Transit Costs: We require financial support for the transit from Gaza to the Rafah crossing.
4. Short-Term Accommodation: Renting an apartment in Egypt for a short period is crucial for us to plan our next steps.
5. Travel Tickets and Accommodation Costs: Funds are needed for travel tickets and other accommodation costs as we seek a safer and more stable environment.
6. Starting Over: Additional support for some basic expenses to help us restart our lives.

Hello! My name is Amanda, and I live in South Carolina. I am helping Malaka raise money so she can evacuate her and her family as soon as she can. With the Rafah border crossing closed, Malaka and her family can use this money to secure shelter, food, and basic needs in Gaza in the meantime.
While I set up the GFM for Malaka, all money will go to her and Moammar and their family in Gaza to use to support their livelihood and hopeful evacuation, soon.
Malaka, Moammar, Yuman, and Yumna have lost everything. Donating to Malaka and her family will help ensure she has a future, and alleviate some of the suffering that she and her family are enduring. Every dollar counts, and we appreciate your help! Thank you!
