Hi Everyone,
We are reaching out to ask for your help and support for our friend Kenzie and her family.
On July 13th, 2024 Lynnea Evans collapsed due to a sudden cardiac arrest at the Waseca County Fair. She was fortunate enough to be surrounded by numerous emergency management personnel, who were able to provide her the necessary care to stabilize her. Soon after, our friend Kenzie Linnihan received the call regarding the events that took place that evening, and thus began two months of continued cardiac events and hospital stays.
After multiple weeks of hospital stays and continued cardiac events, Lynnea and her family had finally received a diagnosis that gave them a better understanding of the sudden continuous cardiac arrests. Lynnea was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Desmoplakin (DSP) Cardiomyopathy.
Lynnea’s heart had quickly declined, leading to an emergency open-heart surgery. Within two weeks, she was approved to be a recipient on a transplant list and had received the call to alert her of a heart within 60 hours of being put on the transplant list.
Lynnea and her family are proud to announce that she has since received a heart and is recovering well. That being said, there has been a great financial burden added. Lynnea has been unable to work during this time, and is continuing her healing journey at the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester where Kenzie will also be taking a leave from work to provide care for Lynnea.
The funds raised through this page will go directly towards necessary lodging and medical expenses associated with Lynnea’s healing. Any amount bit, big or small, will help assist in this family’s journey towards recovery. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during these trying times.
