Help Lowell Remove Mold & Get Hot Water Again

Lowell Swindler is a veteran and a retired chaplain who spent much of his life comforting those in grief. Lowell has been without any hot water in his mobile home for over 90 days. He had a repairman in to replace his leaking hot water heater in early August and discovered that the utility closet, bathroom subfloor, walls, bathroom window and underside of the bathtub are covered in black mold.

Lowell is in his 70's, on a fixed income, and unable to afford the cost required to start the process of removing the mold and replacing the floor, walls, window, tub, and hot water heater. He has tried to address this on his own, but has been unable to make much progress. Several concerned friends have gathered together to raise money from a local church and from the community, but he is still far short of the money needed. The grant he has applied for from the VA hasn't come through and if it does, it won't pay for much of the repair cost.

The weather is turning cold. He needs to raise $3500 before the repair company will even begin the work and the total repair cost is $10K-$12K. 

Help us get Lowell's hot water back before winter begins. If you can't help financially but have time to spare, Lowell can also use help with his yard and gutters, as his brain injury puts him at high risk for falls.
