Help Lorna fight cancer

 

I want to share this story with you in the hopes that you can join me in helping a very special person.

Her name is Lorna LaRocque, she has stage four rectal cancer. Lorna has been on chemo for seven years with 113 rounds of chemo and now it has quit working and the cancer has now spread to her lungs and the latest to her liver.

There is a new pill called Lonsurf that the doctors are trying, but the drug is not covered by cancer care or pharmacare. These pills cost $5000 a month, the drug company will pay for half of the cost of the pills which still leaves $2500 a month. This is a big bill to pay, and keep paying when she can not work.

Lorna has worked as a health care aide for over twenty years but has not worked since the start of coved in 2020

because of her compromised immunity. Lorna is not eligible for unemployment because they say she is not willing and able to work because of her compromised immunity.

Lorna was hospitalized in may of 2021 with covid, she fought the battle and won and was back home eighteen days later.

I am going to give you a little insight into why this fundraiser is so important, Lorna has one daughter and they are best friends. Lorna would like to see her daughter walk down the aisle which is finally going to happen in the fall of 2022.

Lorna is one of the most loving, compassionate people that I have known, and she would give you the shirt off of her back, even if it was her last.
