Help longtime Clear Creek family after house fire

Long time Georgetown, CO residents, Todd & Jessica , received the call that we all dread & pray that we never get.

The couple have been living and raising their children in their home in Georgetown, Colorado, since 2010. The father, Todd, is the local UPS Driver for his neighbors with a route hitting Silver Plume, Georgetown, and Empire. He has become quite the favorite among residents and canines alike. Many have shared stories of how he’s been so helpful & friendly when they have special delivery or package questions & requests. His wife works locally, as well as their now young adult children.

The call that changed their lives came in at 9:30pm on Saturday, 11/19/22 . It was that their beloved home was in flames. Thankfulness that they were all away then turned into concern for the rest of their family members, their 2 pups. They were informed that the dogs were quickly released out of the house and they were later reunited with their family.

What’s next? It’s hard to really grasp. They have many questions & worries, as anyone in this situation would. They don’t have a lot of answers & are not allowed back at the house, yet. They are told these things take some time. They have to come up with funds for dog friendly hotels, replacements for their daily items to continue to work, come up with meals without a kitchen, and it looks like it will be this way for quite awhile.

They haven’t asked for any help but we can’t let them carry this burden alone. We are a group of neighbors trying to help where we can. We’d like to take as much of the weight off them and we need your help!

They are still discovering what they need and this list may update as things come up. It’s so hard to realize & plan for what all you need when you’re used to having your home & all your things.
