Fund to fight Lino's cancer

I met Lino when I joined the orchestra at our church.  He is a professional flute player and what struck me (besides his amazing musical talent) was his gift of joy.  Joyful people bring a warmth and a peace to others that is so rare to find these days.  As I got to know Lino, I learned of his recent battle with cancer and how even in the face of this adversity, he has held steady in his faith and kept a smile on his face throughout.  Unfortunately, his cancer has spread and he is currently receiving a number of different and costly medical treatments.    

Lino has never wavered in the face of difficulty.  He suffered from polio as an infant and several years ago was diagnosed with post-polio syndrome.  He has constantly given of himself, whether that be to countless children he taught as an elementary school teacher, or as a church leader and preacher at his local church.  He and his sweet wife Cathy face rising medical costs.  Since he is now on disability (as he is unable to work), the costs of his therapies are a considerable financial burden for them.  Many kind friends and family have chipped in to help but large medical expenses still remain.  Please consider contributing to Lino and Cathy as they battle his cancer.  Any amount you can give will ease their burden and allow them to focus on his healing.
