On November 6th my family’s world was turned upside down when we learned that my sister Lindsay Oliver was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. At only 39 years old this came as quite a shock to all of us and she faces a very long road ahead of her. Her oncology team is planning for a port to be placed and chemotherapy to start before Thanksgiving; she will be undergoing chemo treatments every 2 weeks for at least 4-6 months and then it will be determined if she is a possible candidate for surgery.

During this time she will be unable to work in her job as a pediatrician and her husband Evan will also need to take periodic time off from work to take her to appointments and help care for her at home. Lindsay is a devoted stepmom to Hunter (age 10) and mom to Sawyer (age 20 months) and wants to try to keep as much normalcy in their lives as possible during this difficult time.
