Hi, my name is Caroline Cardona and I am raising funds for my nephew, Gilbert Maldonado the 3rd, also known as Lil Gil.

On May 10th, a mother's/parent's worst nightmare came true. Gilbert and Steven (brothers) were on the way back home from a beach trip when Lil Gil’s car started having mechanical issues, lost control, and crashed with another vehicle. His younger brother Steven, dosing in and out of the incident, remembers pieces here and there. Steven was rushed to the hospital, but Lil Gil wasn’t. Sadly, Lil Gil was pronounced dead at the scene due to the impact of the hit and taken to the morgue. Our hearts are shattered and our souls ache, to say the least. Lil Gil had just turned 22 on February 2nd. He was always so respectful and full of life. Lil Gil was the firstborn of three. He was loved, respected, and looked up to dearly by his siblings. We will miss him so much.
