Help Lenny Walk Again: Urgent Surgery Needed

Calling all animal lovers! Our friends Lauren and Tyler experienced something no pet owner would ever want to experience. Last night, 10/29, their sweet little boy Lenny was out playing in his yard and being his puppy self when he injured himself. They thought he was sore from playing hard in the yard, so they made sure he got plenty of rest that night. Lenny woke Lauren and Tyler up in the middle of the night because he lost feeling in his back legs. They rushed him to VSS where he was diagnosed with IVDD, which is a condition that occurs when the shock-absorbing discs in a dog's spine harden and compress the spinal cord. In severe cases, this can cause paralysis, which unfortunately has happened to Lenny. He will need surgery as soon as possible at VSS where he will be expected a long road to recovery.
