Hello, I'm Enrique and I am asking for your help to support our family.

Last week, My kid was watching My little Pony and everything went wrong for the main character. Then, she aked for help from her friends. Like her, I am asking for help from our friends.

On the pandemic, Leilani got Covid, and she got the Delta variant. She was very sick, more than me that also got it, but her sequels were worse. She developed Fibromyalgia. This is a disorder that is characterized by pain. Widespread pain in muscles and bones. Simple activities like cleaning, cooking, even walking can be a struggle. And through all that, she has continued working in the village and even developed some projects for trainings, but every day it becomes harder.

Last weekend, she had a crisis. Widespread and non stopping pain that made us go to the ER. We have been there a lot on the last months as this can be so bad she had to be taken there on an ambulance from her office. It was there where I knew i had to ask for help.

Since the pandemic, i took a half time job to help more with chores and to be with our kid. He faced bullying that the school didn't address and told us that "kids will be kids" He is a member of the lgbtq+ community and, while he has all our support sadly, not everybody thinks the same. This lead to us taking the last year of middle school on a homeschool system, and that's what I've been focusing on as this is our last year before going to high school.

This change in our family, made us change our priorities as our income was reduced and our expenses changed. This has been accumulating and we are leaving things unpaid for this month to focus on something that needed to be paid last month.

We need your support to face the future with a lighter load.

Leilani needs to adjust to her limitations with this disability. Some assistive device to walk and move around are what she needs to help her stay active. I need to accomodate the house and car to her needs. and specially make our car safer as it has been a while since things like tires and brakes have been checked.

As our kid is finishing school online, an extra process to obtain the diploma will be needed and that has an extra cost. He is doing his part but we need to pay for the process in order for him to be able to start High School in a couple of months.

And any kind of help you can give, will help us to settle some of the bills that have been accumulating for the last couple of years, and give us more tranquility to face the future and what it might bring.

Sometimes we feel alone here, but I think we really aren't. And if you can reach out to talk, to listen, to give advice, to help. In your own way to make us feel less alone, We would appreciate it. I would appreciate it.

Hola!, Soy Enrique y estoy solicitando de su apoyo para mi familia.

La semana pasada, mi hijo estaba viendo My pequeño Pony, y todo iba mal para el personaje principal. Entonces, pidió apoyo a sus amigas para salir adelante. Como ella, ahora estamos solicitando la ayuda de nuestros amigos.

En la pandemia, Leilani cayo enferma de Covid, con la variante Delta. Ella se enfermó mas gravemente que yo, que tambien caí enfermo, pero sus secuelas fueron mas graves, debido a que desarrollo Fibromialgia. Este es un desorden que se caracteriza por dolor generalizado en músculos y huesos. Actividades sencillas como limpiar, cocinar o incluso caminar, se vuelven muy complicadas. Y durante esto, ha seguido trabajando en la villa e incluso ha desarrollado proyectos para entrenamientos, pero cada día es mas difícil.

La semana pasada, tuvo una crisis. Dolor generalizado que no bajaba y terminamos en urgencias. Hemos estado ahí muchas veces los últimos meses y ha llegado a ser tan malo que incluso una vez de su oficina la enviaron en ambulancia. Ahí fue donde decidí que tenía que pedir ayuda.

Desde la pandemia, yo tomé un trabajo de medio tiempo para ayudar con las labores del hogar y para estar con nuestro hijo. El recibió bullying en la escuela que no fué corregido y nos dijeron que eran “cosas de niños”. El es miembro de la comunidad lgbtq+ y aunque tiene todo nuestro apoyo, no todo el mundo piensa igual. Esto nos orilló a que el último año de secundaria lo hemos tomado en línea y es en lo que nos hemos enfocado debido a su ingreso a la preparatoria este ciclo.

Este cambio en nuestra familia modificó nuestras prioridades debido a una reducción de nuestros ingresos y cambios en los gastos. Esto ha hecho que dejemos algunas cuentas sin pagar cada mes para enfocarnos en cuentas urgentes de cada mes.

Solicitamos su apoyo para afrontar el futuro de una forma mas sencilla. Leilani necesita ajustarse a las limitaciones de su discapacidad. Una ayuda para su movilidad y que pueda mantenerse activa. Necesito adecuar la casa y el auto a sus nuevas necesidades y sobre todo hacerlo más seguro pues hay cosas del motor y llantas que no hemos podido reparar.

Nuestro hijo está terminando la escuela de forma remota y se requiere un proceso adicional para tener su certificado. El está haciendo su parte pero necesitamos pagar este proceso para poder iniciar la preparatoria pronto.

Cualquier clase de ayuda es importante y nos ayudaria a liquidar algunas de esas cuentas que se han acumulado estos ultimos años y prepararnos mejor para afrontar el futuro.

En ocasiones nos sentimos solos aquí, pero me gustaria pensar que no lo estamos. Y si quieren enviar mensaje para hablar, escuchar, para dar consejos, para ayudar en sus propias maneras para hacernos sentir menos solos, les estariamos muy agradecidos.

Esta ha sido una epoca muy dificil para nosotros y estamos profundamente agradecidos por cualquier apoyo que nos puedan brindar. Gracias por tomarse el tiempo de leer esto y por todo su apoyo.
