Friends- I am asking for your support to help a hard working loving mom with her new life.
Lea had not seen her kids in 5+ years. She works here in South Florida cleaning homes, while sending most of her earning back home to care for her kids. Lea’s goal has always been to bring her 22 year old daughter and 14 year old son here and reunite themselves as the family they were 5 years ago.
Lea works every single day of the week. She is a single mom.
These brave children began a treacherous/dangerous journey in order to be able to reunite with their mother. Lea’s children were the youngest of the group. They traveled together alone, with no other family members. This young brother and sister were sleeping in shelters, multiple buses, in some unimaginable conditions, leading up to the dangerous moment of crossing the river into the US.
For those of you who don’t know... you must cross a river with water reaching to your neck, holding hands to reach to the other side. Many people don’t make it to the other side alive. The two prayed their turn would come to cross the river during the day, as many have to cross at night.
Today, Lea and her children have been reunited. They will now be able to continue their lives as they once did as a family together.
