Hello Everyone, This GoFund Me is for Laurie Rezab who was unfortunately diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in August 2025.

The doctors are very optimistic that Chemotherapy / Immunotherapy will help shrink the tumor enough to have surgery. As you know, all of these treatments and the things that come along with treatments are not cheap, even with insurance.

Laurie and Joe, her husband of 56 years, are retired and have been for while. They live completely off of social security, a fixed income. The bills are stacking, the financial department doesn't stop calling and we haven't even began the most expensive parts of the treatment yet.

This is an aggressive form of cancer that NEEDS treatment as soon as possible. Over the past couple months, it's gone from a pea size to almost baseball size for reference. It is in a sensitive area in her mouth and therefor needs this chemo to shrink before any surgery can even be done. This is just the beginning what of seems like a long road of treatments and recovery yet to come.

These treatments have been pushed back a few times already due to financial and insurance conflicts even given how aggressive it is.

This whole situation has caused the entire family so much stress financially and emotionally that we feel like we have no other options. Laurie was against starting a GoFund Me, she didn't want this put out on social media and even expressed we held off on telling extended family of this situation until just recently. This is taking a huge leap of faith.

Laurie is a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and someone who least deserves any of this to be handed to her. We firmly believe she has the strength to get through this even though how tough it has been thus far. She's a fighter and it isn't her time yet!! ❤️
