Last night, an unimaginable tragedy struck my dear friend Lauren and her two children. A drunk driver crashed into their home with such force that the house has now been condemned. Water lines were ruptured in the impact, saturating much of the structure, and the damage is so severe that the family cannot even step inside to recover any of their belongings.

Lauren is a hardworking single mother to a 13-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. Overnight, they lost their home, their security, and nearly all of their personal possessions. While they are grateful to have temporary housing with supportive family, the road ahead is long, overwhelming, and uncertain. Lauren will need to replace clothing, school items, essentials, and countless irreplaceable everyday necessities for her children. The funds raised will help cover temporary housing, replace school supplies and essential clothing, and support Lauren in finding a new home for her family.
