Help Rigolo Employees In Need

We are setting up this fund to benefit the employees of Rigolo Café and Artesano. We had to make the very difficult decision to lay off over half of our staff on Monday, March 16th, after San Francisco imposed new Shelter-in-Place rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Even our employees who are still employed had their work hours reduced because we are staying open for limited hours with a skeleton staff of only 3 people a day at each restaurant.
We are fortunate to have fantastic work team at the restaurants. Everyone works well together, with very low turnover and a wonderful family feel. We all care about each other and our employees depend on their paychecks to survive in an expensive city, and to support their families. We are devastated to leave them with no income or reduced income so we want to help them.
The funds raised in this campaign will be split between the employees in proportion to the amount of work hours that they lost. The funds will be used to substitute their lost income, so that they can buy food, pay their rent and support their families.
We are trying to make up for three weeks of lost paychecks, due to the shelter-in-place, plus the anticipation of an additional 3 to 6 weeks of reduced income from slow sales after the shelter-in-place is lifted.
We need the funds in the next 2 weeks and beyond, so we can distribute with payroll checks. Your support means a lot to all of us as small business owners and Managers of two local San Francisco mom-and-pop restaurants. We are grateful and appreciate of your help in getting our employees through this unprecedented difficult period.
We can also use your help by having you order meals at Rigolo and Artesano. The more you order and the higher sales are, the more work hours we can give to the remaining employees. We just launched new ONLINE ORDERING portal at RigoloCafe.com and ArtesanoSF.com, and from now through April 7th (the date the shelter-in-place is supposed to be lifted), we are offering 20% off all orders with coupon code 20%off. Use this discount as many times as you want, and pass it along to your friends, family and neighbors. Let's save the jobs of the 10 employees who are still with us, and let's try to bring some of the laid off workers back on board! We are also open for take-out orders that you can place in-person inside the restaurants or over the phone (Rigolo 415-876-777; Artesano [phone redacted]). Our new hours of operation 7 days a week: Rigolo 11am-5pm (perfect for early dinner), and Artesano 12pm-6pm.
