Your love and support will help Komiko focus on healing and her daughters during treatment.
My name is Komiko Hadley, and I’m currently facing one of the hardest battles of my life. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with a grade 2 brain tumor, and after surgery and months of recovery, my doctors recently discovered that the tumor has started to grow back. I will soon begin another round of treatment — including radiation and chemotherapy — at KU Oncology Center. The road ahead will mean a lot of time off work, travel back and forth for appointments, and many unexpected medical expenses.
As a mom to twelve-year-old twin girls, my greatest wish is to stay strong and focused on healing so I can be here for them every step of the way. Any help, no matter how small, will go toward covering time off work, transportation to KU, and bills that keep adding up while I fight this disease. Your prayers, love, and support mean more to me than words can ever say — and I’m deeply grateful for everyone walking beside me through this journey.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for keeping me and my girls in your thoughts. Your kindness — whether through a donation, a share, or a simple message of encouragement — gives us strength and hope each day. Please share this page with others if you can. Every bit of love and support truly makes a difference as I keep fighting for my health and for my daughters’ future.
Update! 2/24/26
Talked with the my wonderful oncologist today tumor is not growing it he did say it did get a little smaller but the radiation is still doing its thing. I will be starting PCV chemo on March 4th. It is two different pills and 2 injections every 6 weeks as long as I can handle the symptoms. I will not have to have a port so that is a plus. But, like most all chemo this will make me immunocompromised so please if you are sick don’t come around me unless you are cool to wear a mask! I love you all so much and am so grateful for all the support!
