Help Kinsley beat Neuroblastoma
Spende geschützt
Hi, my name is Geannie and I am fundraising to help our little Kinsley (2 1/2 years old) get the most up to date and best treatment available to beat the high risk Metastatic Neuroblastoma she has just recently been diagnosed with.
In her Mommy's words:
"Kinsley has neuroblastoma. High risk, metastatic. Metastatic means it has spread to more than one spot. She has a 13cm tumor in her stomach and other smaller tumors as well. Statistically in high risk patients there’s a 50% survival and of those who survive there’s a 60% chance to relapse, in that case there’s only a 5% chance of survival. This type of cancer is rare and shows no symptoms until one day there is a reoccurring fever. This is exactly what happened to us. She started having a fever that kept coming and going so we took her to an urgent care after the 2nd fever and they said it was just an ear infection so they prescribed antibiotics. After 10 days they weren’t working and they said to keep her on them so we did. A few days later I noticed a little lump on neck and took her to Mary bridge children’s emergency room right away. They ran lots of test and couldn’t find anything. They scheduled surgery, believing is was a swollen lymph node they were removing to find out it was actually a tumor they were taking out. They biopsied it and it came back as cancer. They knew there was an even bigger tumor that caused the small one. That’s when they had her scanned and found her stomach tumor that has been growing for 6-8 months."
Kinsley has undergone her first round of Chemotherapy treatment the week before Christmas but was able to be home with her family for Christmas. She is currently home, with a compromised immune system, do to the treatment, and is unable to have any visitors. She is scheduled to go back for her second round next week. This will be a very long road for her and everyone who has been lucky enough to be blessed by her. She is looking at at least 18 months of treatment.
Kinsley, at home for Christmas, just after her first round of treatment. Please do what you can to help support her and her family through this journey, so she can be right where she should be for many Christmas's to come. Every little bit helps! If you can't afford a monetary donation, your prayers are every bit as important and appreciated!
WE LOVE YOU KINSLEY!! YOU'VE GOT THIS BABY GIRL!!
