This was an incredibly difficult decision for us, but we're really at that make-or-break moment. In September 2023, we bought a bowling alley! To buy this bowling alley, I sold my house of almost 10 years and completely uprooted our family. Things were actually going incredibly well for us until I became pregnant. Normally, this would not be an issue. It was a bit of a surprise, but not an issue. However, things became complicated in the pregnancy quite quickly. I originally was pregnant with twins, and that pregnancy turned into a TRAP pregnancy, which means one of the twins did not make it, but the other one was trying to keep it alive. I had to undergo a procedure that would separate the two so the healthy baby could survive. It was incredibly difficult on my body, making it where I could not work or do most daily tasks alone. Fast forward to a premature delivery and a long stay in the hospital. She is a happy and healthy little bundle of joy now!
So here lie the big problems. We were unable to make money for about 7 months due to my health and the baby's. We also are in the middle of transferring a liquor license that we actually had use of last year but have not had use of since April. The liquor commission has definitely taken their time on transferring it, and the sale of alcohol is a big component of our money. We have been making our payments as best as we can, keeping things as close to paid up as possible with lots of support from family and close friends. We are just at our end with resources. I have a full-time job other than the bowling alley, but it just doesn't add up to enough with the house that we also purchased and supporting ourselves and five children.
Small story on the bowling alley it's located at 8558 Unionville Rd sebewaing mi, originally known as Green meadow Lanes, seller were no longer interested in running the alley if not bought when it was it would of be closed indefinitely or sold to someone that was not going to keep it a bowling alley.
This is honestly something I did not want to have to do, but if we could get this little bit of help to get us through and caught up, as soon as the liquor license has been transferred and everything slowly gets back to normal, we should have no issues here on out other than normal life.
