As you may know, Hurricane Harvey destroyed a lot of homes, that had never flooded before and have disrupted many lives! One of the hardest hit areas was Kingwood, Texas.
Sutton Custom Homes would like your help to get the Farrell family back into their home. Our hearts are broken for all the families and friends affected by Harvey! Please help us rebuild the Farrell's home after this disaster. Our goal is to reach $150,000 to restore the Farrell's home. Everything beyond this amount will go to other families, that lacked flood Insurance in the Kingwood and Baytown areas to rebuild their homes.
David & Heather Farrell are former Aggies that planted their roots in Kingwood in 2000 and settled into the local community. They have raised/raising their three children in the same home in hopes to give them a stable and happy family life. They chose this family friendly community, as many have, to give them the environment to raise their children to become proper and respectful adults.
Like many in the Kingwood, the Farrells never thought that, they would need flood insurance and FEMA can only help with so much. To this date, no estimate of support has been provided. Their hard work over the years help them remodel their home this summer. Sutton Custom Homes did an extensive renovation to the Farrell's first floor, that took 6 months to complete and now all is lost.
Thier oldest child, Katie, is in graduate school now. She was in Arizona and missed the wrath of Harvey. Thier middle child, Shawn, will start college next year. The youngest, Riley, is in middles school. Thier plan was to downsize when Riley graduated, so that as parents, they could financially put all three of their children though college. They thought remodeling their home would give them a good return in the future after their youngest graduated. Harvey changed all their plans. Your help would be a blessing for the Farrell family, to keep their HOPES! and DREAMS ALIVE,
A letter from their daughter Katie; "on Tuesday, August 29, I couldn't get in touch with my family. I knew only a little about their situation from the night before- that they were starting to flood. I didn't know if they were still in the house, or if the house was still standing, or if they were safe. Honestly, I felt like I held my breath for hours waiting to hear from them. When I finally got the call, I learned that the first floor of our house was gone, as well as our cars. My heart is really broken for my 18-year-old brother who had bought and repaired a beautiful little red sports car-now gone. I'll never forget the tone of my mother's voice as she told me that the new kitchen she dreamed about since I can remember-just finish this summer-was ruined. Over the passed weeks, pictures of the devastation have poured in from friends and family I like. Knowing how much there is to do and not being there is hard, but being too far from my family to hug them has been harder. Moving away from Texas was hard, but I really wasn't expecting this. I am struggling to close this, but I think the same thing I've been telling all the sweet friends who have reached out to me is a must applicable: I wish I could be there with them so bad-please help my family."

We have cried so many tears, seeing our newly finished remodeled projects for our clients in Kingwood and Baytown areas that flooded, 3' to 4'. We have seen the devastation of Harvey firsthand! However, we have also seen the support and love shown by so many in United States as well as around the World. Thank you ALL!
