Help Keep Sweet Connections Afloat!

Hi Friends! My name is Cathy and I've been a long time superfan of Sweet Connections in San Bruno.
Many of us have been touched in big and small ways by owner Belle Ettlin and her staff at Sweet Connections. As you know, this current Covid crisis has hit local businesses hard. Sweet Connections has been one of the pillars of the San Bruno downtown community for many years, giving back in many ways. They host an annual BOOST program which feeds lunches and provides coding classes to local San Bruno children who would otherwise have very limited resources for food and summer programming. This year Sweet Connections was scheduled to hold an Introduction to Basic Coding class for local middle school students which would also employ local high school students as paid teachers.
Belle also has had to cancel hosting many community and private events including Scrapbook/Journal nights, Mothers of Preschooler meetings and many birthday parties and family celebrations.
Unfortunately, Belle closed her shop down during this Covid crisis but still is retaining her hourly employees and hopes to find ways to pay them through government programs. Belle does not qualify for many of the available small business loans and programs because her employees are part-time. She is only able to make partial rent/insurance payments and minimum credit card payments. She has also lost inventory as she needs to restock many food items that have now expired. Unfortunately, during all this, some of her lighting stopped working and she is incurring an extra electrician expense.
Specifically we are raising these funds to help Belle pay for these operating expenses so she will be able to re-open when the shelter in place is lifted.
This is a chance for us to pay it forward to Sweet Connections during this difficult time. If you have a little extra cash, please consider donating toward this wonderful little business so they can continue to serve the San Bruno community.
