I am asking for help with my dog Denver, who was diagnosed with lymphoma this August. I adopted him from Perry County Animal Rescue after he was found as a stray. He was underweight and covered in porcupine quills when he was turned in to the shelter. He quickly became an important part of our family.
Denver is under the care of the oncology Department at Pet Emergency Treatment and Specialties in Lancaster, PA. Here, we started a CHOP protocol, which calls for 13 treatments of chemotherapy. His initial appointments were covered by CareCredit, but we have reached the approval limit during round one of three treatments ($3000).
My current financial situation means that I can not afford these treatments. I was initially going to opt for prednisone palliative care for Denver. However, my family has recently gone through a difficult situation, and losing Denver is just unfathomable. We couldn’t say goodbye to Denver yet. He means too much, and my kids could not handle another loss.
I want to thank you for considering my request for financial support for Denver’s treatments. Any money will go directly to pay for Denver's treatments and will keep his chemotherapy plan on schedule.
