Hi, my name is Eden, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend KeeKee, a transgender lesbian woman who has been silently enduring excruciating knee pain for over three years! Pain caused by a workplace injury that was never treated.
Back then, KeeKee was told not to go to the doctor. Her employer decided, without proper medical advice, that “it didn’t look that bad.” She trusted them, like so many of us are forced to, and kept working. But it hurt. A lot. And now? The damage is likely permanent.
Doctors now believe her tendon may have been completely severed.
She can’t walk without pain.
She can’t work.
And she’s fighting tooth and nail to survive.
KeeKee is currently trying to access Medicaid and disability support. But as you probably know, that system is slow, degrading, and not designed to help people like her. She’s a trans woman, disabled, unemployed, and has no income.
This fund will help KeeKee cover:
• Medical imaging & visits to confirm the injury
• Mobility aids (braces, crutches, etc.)
• Rent, food, and transportation
• Legal or disability application support
• Basic survival during this critical time
KeeKee is a kind, funny, brilliant woman who has been dealt nothing but cruelty from systems that should’ve protected her. She deserves better. She deserves to walk again. To live without pain. To know she isn’t alone.
Please help however you can. Every donation, share, or kind word makes a difference.
Thank you for standing with her.
In care and solidarity,
Eden
