Help KCHS with Barber County Neglected Dogs

Abandonment, neglect and cruelty....that was their life until Saturday January 23 when KCHS was called to assist law enforcement with a " few" dogs living in a feces filled house. By the end of the day there were a total of 19 dogs and puppies removed from the house, including 5 puppies that were only a couple hours old and a 6th that was born a few hours later at the Kingman County animal shelter. These were the 19 lucky ones. They are survivors and thankfully everyone is doing well, even the newborns. So now the real work begins. Since the property owners are facing cruelty charges, we expect to spend about $12,000 for medical care, food and housing until these dogs can be legally transferred to KCHS and we can begin the process of finding homes for all of them. It's a huge task and we are a small group of volunteers, but those of you who know us understand that with your support we can do this.
