I am raising money to help my sister Katie on her long road to recovery. 5 months after our oldest sister had a stroke, and our step-father suddenly passed away, Katie had a stroke. On Jan 1st when everyone is hoping for a better year to start, Katie was LifeStarred to Yale New Haven and had emergency surgery. She had brain swelling and they removed almost half of her skull. She was in ICU for weeks by herself, trying to figure out her new normal. She is getting ready to discharge to our mothers house soon and we start with a very long road of recovery. Hopefully with alot of hard work, support and prayers she will regain strength and be able to walk again and get back to life.
