Hello, my name is Billie, and I’m Kate Tallentire’s sister-in-law. I’m sharing this on her behalf because she needs our love, support, and community now more than ever.
Kate is 41 and lives in Bracknell, Berkshire. She’s a devoted mum to her beautiful daughter aged 13, a loving daughter, sister, partner, and friend too many. For over 20 years, Kate has battled chronic health issues — including depression, an underactive thyroid, and chronic fatigue — yet she has always dedicated herself to healing and helping others. She became a Reiki Master, earned a degree in Nutrition, and has spent her life guiding people on their own healing journeys.
She thought she had overcome so much… until a few years ago, when her health took a devastating turn.
Kate’s Story
In 2023, Kate began experiencing neurological symptoms that didn’t appear to be normal. Despite her concerns, the doctors didn’t act urgently, and she was placed on long waiting lists. After nearly two years of unanswered questions, she finally received the diagnosis that no one ever wants to hear:
ALS/MND (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis / Motor Neurone Disease)
This progressive disease attacks the nerve cells controlling movement, speech, swallowing, and breathing. The life expectancy of someone with this diagnosis is 3 - 5 years. Kate was told there’s no cure and that she should “accept her fate.”
But Kate refuses to accept that.
She is determined to fight with every ounce of her being. Through holistic healing, detoxing, nutrition, and specialist treatments, she hopes not only to give herself the best possible chance but also to help others facing the same diagnosis in the future.
How Your Support Will Help
We’re raising funds to give Kate access to treatments and support that could make a real difference in her life. Donations will go towards:
• Treatment in Switzerland that involves purifying the blood to remove harmful toxins
• Private healthcare and specialist testing (including mitochondrial and viral profiles etc)
• Physiotherapy, speech therapy, and red-light therapy
• Specialist diet plans and supplements
• Mobility aids and equipment
• Transport costs, as Kate can no longer drive
• Financial support for her family while she focuses on healing
• And most importantly — creating precious memories with her loved ones
The total could exceed £50,000, and every single donation — no matter the size — brings hope, relief, and the freedom for Kate to focus on recovery instead of financial stress.
How You Can Help
• Donate whatever you can to this page
• Share Kate’s story with family and friends
• Support our upcoming fundraising events and sponsorships
• Send messages of support, advice, or encouragement
Your kindness will make a world of difference — not just for Kate, but for everyone who loves her. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping her fight.
With love and gratitude,
Billie & Family
