Help Kara & Dutchess Find Safety and Stability

Hi everyone — my name is Kara, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart asking for help during an incredibly difficult time.

I recently had to leave an abusive situation with little warning, taking only what I could — and most importantly, my sweet 6-year-old German Shepherd, Dutchess. She’s not just my dog — she’s my family, my comfort, and the reason I keep going.

We’re waiting for our new apartment to be ready — the management says it could be a week or two — but until then, we have no safe place to stay. Most shelters and temporary housing options won’t take dogs, and leaving Dutchess behind simply isn’t an option.

Right now, we’re staying in a hotel, but we’re out of funds and due to check out tomorrow. I’ve exhausted my savings just to keep a roof over our heads these past days. I’m asking for any support — no amount is too small — to help cover a few more nights until our new home is ready.
