I’m not one to ask for help. But this has nothing to do with me, but a very dear friend. I have donated many times to crowd funding, but have never asked. Even my own Mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June, yet we are dealing with it on a family level. Now I am asking. My dear friend, Josh Spaulding, was diagnosed with prostrate cancer a few months ago. Luckily the prognosis is hopeful. For now. He is going under the knife on Monday morning (1/8/18) to try and remove the cancer. While we were at a shoot ( the clicking kind) yesterday he informed me the up front cost was $5K. This was after he just paid $2300 to insure his daughters were insured through NAU (where they both attend full time. Thank you NAU!) This might seem like a trivial amount, but when you take into consideration the deductible, lost wages, and any additional expenses this sweet family will invite it just seems like more than a dear friend of mine should bare. Josh has been one of my best friends in the photography business for over 10 years. His 2 daughters attend Northern Arizona University. His sweet wife, Beth, works for an insurance company in Tempe. This family is the real deal. Josh has helped capture the images of well over 100,000 graduates while he has taken photos for GradImages over the last 10+ years. Please help his family capture more images of him recovering and LIVING with his amazing family. I will consider it a personal favor. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
