Hi, I am Bob, Johnny’s nephew. I am organizing this fundraiser for Johnny and Kim Guizar in Plano.

On October 12th, Johnny suffered a heart attack and is still hospitalized. He was airlifted to Dallas to work with cardiology specialists as Plano used every method at their disposal. He received stents, but his heart is not a good candidate for bypass surgery. His care team is now preparing the next step, a heart pump implanted in his chest to help his heart function while he heals. This is still contingent on his heart being strong enough to conduct the surgery on.

Why we are asking for help:

Johnny and his wife are facing significant medical expenses and a sudden loss of income during his hospitalization and recovery. Insurance does not cover everything, and basic costs continue at home.
