Jemma Chatten - Terminal Cancer Fund
Don protégé
Hello, I've started this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Jemma in order to try and collect the funds to try alternative treatments for her terminal cancer diagnosis.
Jemma was first diagnosed 5 years ago at the age of 28 with breast cancer and during this time she discovered that she carried the brca 1 gene. After having chemotherapy to treat the cancer, Jemma discovered she was pregnant. Once she had the baby, she discovered that the cancer was back and had a double mastectomy and hystectomy to try and decrease the chances of the cancer retuning.
Now 3 years later, we have recieved the worst possible news, her cancer has returned. This time the diagnosis being terminal, with secondary lung cancer and lymph node involvement.
We desperately need to raise money to help fund any possible medical treatments as Jemma is a mother to 2 young children, aged 8 and 3 and they need her there.
In the worst case scenario any money raised would be used to help pay for a funeral and to give the children anything they need in the future.
Myself and my family really appreciate anything that anyone can donate towards the cause. This is a deeply upsetting time for us all, and raising this money would be one less thing for Jemma to worry about.
Thank you for reading, your support is truly appreciated.
