JCI Family Hurricane Laura Relief Fund

Each year Hurricane Season brings so much uncertainty, despair and disruption to thousands of Americans, impacting our coastlines and inland communities.  Our families, friends, and co-workers living in these communities are all at risk of the damaging effects these storms can unleash.  The psychological, financial, and physical burdens that follow these storms can have long-lasting ramifications for so many people. 

As Hurricane Laura made landfall on Thursday, August 27th, south of Lake Charles, LA, the Johnson Controls family felt the impacts that so many of us can relate.  With devastating winds reaching more than 150 mph, the lives of more than 50 of our JCI families were turned upside down within a few hours, as Hurricane Laura left a trail of destruction estimated at $12 billion.  Homes, cars, property and the basic necessities of life have all been impaired as our families piece their lives back together and begin the long process of rebuilding.
