After 10 years of living in her apartment, the landlord of my 69-year-old mother Michele, took all of her life's, most treasured belongings, removed them from the premises without consent or notification, and "donated them" to the Goodwill. My mother wouldn't ask for anything. She has always been about peace and togetherness. However, this situation has left her with a sunken spirit. It's taken her a lot to get comfortable in her new place without feeling like she is still living in the previous house and dealing with the same landlord.
