Help Jacob get to Disneyland!!

Donation protected
Jacob is a 16 year old amazing boy!  He has a terminal disease called Mitochondrial Disease.  It is a brutal disease and the last few months have been very hard on Jacob.  His health has gone downhill and we feel that we need to make as many memories as we can with Jacob.  His body has started to show signs of shutting down and its to the point where he sleeps a lot of the day because his body just does not have the energy to run.  Mito makes it so that his body does not make enough energy to run his body and his organs.  So when he uses energy to do things like walking and talking, it takes away from his organs getting energy.  So because he has so little energy his body just shuts down and he ends up sleeping for hours because it needs to recharge to help his organs run.  Every single day Jacob has pain.  His stomach, his head, and his chest constantly hurt.  His feet and his hands are losing feeling due to his nephropathy.  His heart rate and blood pressure get so low that he will pass out every once in a while.  But yet he is always so happy and smiling.  His smile could light up a room.  Actually his smile could light up a whole country!  Jacob is such a delight to be around and really shows us that just because you are in pain and hurting...that you can still smile through it and be happy.  I dont know how I would be if I was in his position.  But he really takes what he has been given and makes the best out of it.  Anyone who meets Jake can just see how happy he is and is usually left feeling so much love for him.

Jacob loves  Disney so much.  It’s his happy place.  His pain and his worry leave once he gets there.  He loves everything about Disneyland.  But his favorite thing is meeting the characters and giving them a big hug.  Jacob also has autism.  And showing affection is VERY hard on him.  And to see him love on these characters just makes my heart melt.  If they only knew how big of an impact they have on him...and me.  We dont get to spend a lot of time in the park due to his fatigue but his favorite thing is to find a little shaded spot and lay his wheelchair back and take a nap.   You will find him laying back in his wheel chair napping quite a bit.  But he would much rather be in the park napping than in the hotel room.  He just loves being there even if it means taking a quick nap and letting his body recharge.

Please help us us raise some money to help us give Jake the time of his life at Disneyland.
