Jack is a curious, big-hearted six-year-old who loves art, Lego, and making people laugh. Since preschool, he’s faced growing challenges—intense anxiety, trouble with unexpected changes, perfectionism, scary nightmares, and moments when his nervous system feels so overwhelmed that he freezes or tries to escape. As his solo parent, I’m doing my best to support him, but even with play therapy and help from his school, we still don’t have the full picture of what Jack needs to thrive.

A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation will finally give us answers. It will help us understand whether Jack’s struggles are due to anxiety, ADHD, autism-spectrum traits, or a mix of factors. With this information, we can pursue evidence-based therapy and secure the right school accommodations, like a 504 plan or IEP, so Jack can feel safe in his body, confident at school, and free to be the joyful kid he is.
