My name is Iris, a soon to be graduate student, and I recently lost my car to the devastating floods in Mission Valley. It was a sudden and overwhelming experience, and I’m still trying to process how quickly everything changed. Without it, I’m struggling to get to work and keep up with my responsibilities.

I had only purchased this car in October, and unfortunately, my insurance does not cover flood damage. With my current loans and financial commitments, I simply cannot afford to buy another car while paying this one off for at least a couple years. This setback has put me in a really difficult position, and I’m reaching out to my community for help.
