Help INDEX's longest running employee Jeff!

For the last 6 years INDEX has been a DIY space and staple of Vancouver's art and music community. During this time we've hosted hundreds of events and had literally thousands and thousands of people come through the doors. We're being Renovicted now and are being forced to look for a new location in Vancouver's incredibly insane commercial and industrial rental market.
However this isn't what this Go fund me is about. Instead it's about a person that most supporters of INDEX probably don't even know exists.
For the last 5+ years at the end of every night our longest running employee has diligently come by to clean the space and collect the returnables for recycling. His name is Jeff and he's lived in East Vancouver his entire life. Like many east van locals Jeff has been hit hard first by the economic, cultural, and political neglect of the 70's, 80's, and 90's and now the hyper gentrification of the 2000's.
With INDEX closing Jeff is losing a stable job and a source of income that has existed in his life for 5+ years.
The goal of this go fund me is to provide Jeff with a severance package (due to the renoviction forcing us to no longer be able to employee him)
We're personally donating (off of go fund me to avoid fee's) $1000 towards the fundraising.
All money collected will go directly to paying for Jeff's rent. We've negotiated with his SRO for us to be able to pay directly. In the event the campaign raises over $2000 we'll be able to help move Jeff into a better living situation.
