Help Hossam and Family Rebuild their life

My name is Hossam Shabat, a 21-year-old from northern Gaza. Despite living under harsh occupation challenges My siblings and I have always worked hard, facing immense challenges along the way. Before the devastating war tore through our lives, we poured our life savings into building a four-story house and investing in our future. Tragically, all that we had built was reduced to rubble in an instant. As a journalist, I was targeted, and my family's home bore the brunt of this senseless violence. The price of seeking and sharing the truth cost me dearly, as my family had to endure the consequences. I lost all my equipment, cameras , and laptop accessories which cost me a lot to purchase and all were destroyed when Israeli forces targeted our house

Now, we find ourselves displaced, living in a tent with scarce resources, struggling due to the loss of our jobs. For the past 150 days, I have dedicated myself to reporting on the dire situation in northern Gaza, risking my life every day to shed light on the harsh reality faced by our community. I have actively participated in relief efforts, putting the needs of our people above my own.

Today, with a heavy heart, I humbly reach out for assistance for myself and my family. Your support and generosity will be a beacon of hope as we strive to rebuild our shattered lives essentially starting from zero.

Despite the overwhelming challenges, my determination to thrive and embrace life remains unshaken. Being Palestinian embodies resilience and unwavering spirit; I hold deep love for my homeland and am committed to forging a brighter future for my family in Gaza.

I have decided to launch a personal fundraiser to help my family. Initially, I decided to first help my people and community, and have been supporting them in North Gaza for months. However, this campaign is dedicated to helping my family, who lost everything due to my profession. The Israeli forces contacted me directly, threatening me, and then bombed the house, of my family and built this house with our blood and sweat. Now, my family, consisting of 13 members, finds themselves living in a tent. Thus, I am launching this campaign to seek assistance for myself and my family during these challenging times.

والآن، نجد أنفسنا مشردين، ونعيش في خيمة بموارد شحيحة، ونكافح بسبب فقدان وظائفنا. على مدار الـ 150 يومًا الماضية، كرست نفسي للإبلاغ عن الوضع المزري في شمال غزة، مخاطرًا بحياتي كل يوم لتسليط الضوء على الواقع القاسي الذي يواجهه مجتمعنا. لقد شاركت بنشاط في جهود الإغاثة، ووضعت احتياجات شعبنا فوق احتياجاتي.

اليوم، وبقلب مثقل، أطلب بكل تواضع المساعدة لنفسي ولعائلتي. سيكون دعمكم وكرمكم منارة أمل بينما نسعى جاهدين لإعادة بناء حياتنا المحطمة بدءًا من الصفر.

على الرغم من التحديات الهائلة، إلا أن تصميمي على الازدهار واحتضان الحياة لا يزال ثابتًا. أن تكون فلسطينيًا يجسد المرونة والروح التي لا تتزعزع؛ أكنّ حبًا عميقًا لوطني، وأنا ملتزم بصياغة مستقبل أكثر إشراقًا لعائلتي في غزة.
