Help Hairstylist Style the Community

Hey! I'm De'Quoia, a hairstylist from Nashville, TN. When the pandemic hit in March, 2020, Nashville, TN was shut down. Also a tornado hit my neighborhood which caused power to be out for two weeks. One night I had a dream of a mobile hair salon. I took a leap of faith, which sparked me to want to invest in myself. I was then able to create the mobile salon, not only for me but for my community as well. I had to find the mobile vehicle first. I use my savings and bought a old camper. I build everything inside from scratch. I learned to use power tools from Youtube, kept up with the maintenance, plumbing, and electricity. I also painting the whole vehicle. The biggest and challenging part was passing state board and getting the Mobile Salon registered. I pass!!! My hard work paid off and my dream came true. The Mobile salon was up and running February 2021, but the hard part wasn’t over just yet. I was on the frontline, going to client’s homes and nursing homes to do clients hair in the Mobile Salon. To prevent the spread of Covid I insured safety for my clients to wear a mask. I clean my implements and tools after every service. I want to still build that confidence and safety for my clients. I love doing hair it is my passion. I wanted to make clients feel beautiful even during the Pandemic.

➢ To teach parents how to do their children’s hair by hosting classes.
➢ To give back to the community by helping Homeless people with their hair in the shelters.
➢Volunteer at Foster children center by doing the kids hair to give back to my community.
➢ Volunteer at church Event.
➢ Create a franchise so other hairstylists can utilize the mobile salons.
➢ I want to do parties, photoshoots, events.
➢ Teach the community how to invest in themselves even during this pandemic.
Don’t give up, keep going, Believe in yourself. If you are passion about something go for it you never know what can happen.
No amount is too small and 100% of anything raised is going towards efforts to expand the mobile salon in ways to impact those less fortunate within the Nashville, TN community. I want to expanding and giving back. The GoFundMe will be used for supplies and products.
