I am Haifa, a child from Gaza.

My family and I were forced to flee our home — leaving behind our memories, our dreams, our laughter, and everything we once owned.

Today, we live under tents… between the cold of the night and the burning heat of the day.

We have little water, and barely enough food to quiet our hunger.

A tent cannot protect us from pain, nor can it replace the walls of the home we lost beneath the rubble.

We lost our house, but not our hope.

Our spirit is unbroken — we believe that one day, we will rise again, rebuild, and grow life upon the ashes of what was destroyed.
