Help give Jess the gift of healing

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Jess, you’ll know that there are few people on the planet more loving, generous, thoughtful, funny or open-hearted. She goes out of her way to make her friends and family feel appreciated and cared for – her nature is of a caregiver and it’s something she does very naturally with everyone she meets. No matter who you are or where you come from, Jess doesn’t differentiate and treats everyone with the same level of kindness and respect.

Over the past few years, Jess has had to endure unimaginable hardships. Four years ago, she lost one of her best friends, Brent. Two years ago, she lost her brother, Riley, when he passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 25. Just as her family was starting to regain their hope and strength, they lost the patriarch of the family, her Grandfather, just last month. Throughout all this loss, Jess has worked so hard to keep moving forward and building a life. Even with the weight of the loss of Riley on her shoulders, she has still managed to create a new career, a new home and forge a very deep relationship with her partner. Now facing another devastating loss, Jess has to recreate a new version of a life dreamt of and lost.

She remains strong despite all of these incredible challenges but needs help from our close and extended circle of friends. Jess is understandably broken and we want her to be able to heal and focus on herself as she figures out how to move forward and rebuild her life. Funds would help her to take a much needed leave of absence to care for herself versus have to work and hold it together in order to make ends meet.

Those of you who know Jess, know she would be the first person to offer help to someone in need. She never asks for help and has always looked after herself. She doesn’t need a handout, but she deserves a hand up. Please share this widely and contribute if you are able so our girl can rest and find some peace while she copes with her loss and makes plans for her future.
