Help get Helen to Japan for International Karate Tournament!

I have qualified for a Karate tournament in Japan and could use your help.

This event will include competitors from all over the world. The US team will include children and adults ranging in age from 9 yrs

old to over 70 years of age. I will compete in the latter category as I am now 82 years old.

In the paragraphs below I have provided more detailed information about this event, including the Sponsor Organization’s (Japan Karate Organization) history and purpose.

History -Founded 1948 . Approved as “Public Interest Incorporated Association” by

Prime Minister of Japan on March 21, 2012.

Aim - To promote improvement of its skills and self discipline by research and

instruction of Karatedo, thereby contributing to the improvement of the well being of

the people and cultivating a sound martial arts spirit.

It aims to contribute to world peace by spreading the spirit of Japanese Martial Arts

which respects courtesy to countries all over the world.

Tournament - Funakoshi Gichin Karate World Championship Tournament

Date - October 25 (Fri.) - October 27(Sun.) 2024

Where - Takasaki Arena

The World Championship Event which I referred to in the first paragraph is an event that takes place every three years in Japan and is attended by about 130 countries. Our US team will include approximately 40 competitors and I am now asking for your support for our US team.
