Help Gabbi to get his prosthetic leg and PT!

Meet Gabbi, an amazing gentle dog who came into our lives unexpectedly three months ago when we volunteered to foster a dog from Azerbaijan. Little did we know that this sweet soul would quickly become a permanent member of our family. Despite his challenging past, Gabbi's spirit and warmth have touched our hearts, leading us to launch a crowdfunding campaign to provide him with a prosthetic leg.

Gabbi is a tripod. He had an owner at some point, but was dumped, and found himself surviving on the streets of Baku, Azerbaijan. Homeless and hungry, he was soon run over by a car and left to die. Thankfully, the compassionate team at GoodWorld Animal Rescue (GWARP) intervened, rescuing him from the brink of despair. However, Gabbi had dragged around his broken leg to the point where it was beyond saving and had to be amputated.

Now 6 years old, Gabbi has found solace in our home, his first indoor sanctuary, after braving both abandonment and the harsh grinding reality of life of a street dog.



When Gabbi arrived, we were aware of his pre-existing conditions, including arthritis and difficulty walking. However, just a week ago, he experienced a significant medical setback - caused by hopping on one leg day after day - that left him in excruciating pain, unable to move.

Witnessing Gabbi's distress, we rushed him to the emergency vet, where he was immediately placed on pain medications indefinitely. After consulting with additional specialists, including doctors and physical therapists, it became evident that Gabbi needs a prosthetic leg urgently. The goal is not only to alleviate his current suffering, prevent further joint damage to his one remaining leg, but also to provide him with the opportunity to live a pain-free life through ongoing physical therapy.
